Section 1: Core Technology Training (Deep Dive)
This phase focuses on building expert-level knowledge across the five foundational blueprints required by Cisco.
1. Network Infrastructure
- Switched Campus: Advanced VLANs, STP/RSTP/MSTP, EtherChannels, and high availability features.
- Routing Concepts: Route maps, policy-based routing (PBR), VRF-lite, and advanced route redistribution.
- OSPF (v2 & v3): Multi-area architecture, neighbor states, LSA types, stub areas, and virtual links.
- EIGRP: Named mode, stub routing, route filtering, and path optimization.
- BGP: IBGP/EBGP, path selection attributes, route reflectors, communities, and confederations.
- Multicast: PIM sparse/dense mode, IGMP, static RP, and Anycast RP.
2. Software-Defined Infrastructure (SDN)
- Cisco SD-Access: Fabric architecture, DNA Center provisioning, LISP control plane, VXLAN data plane, and TrustSec integration.
- Cisco SD-WAN: Controller onboarding (vManage, vSmart, vBond), centralized/localized control policies, data policies, and Application-Aware Routing (AAR).
3. Transport Technologies and Solutions
- MPLS: Label switching fundamentals, L3VPN architecture, and VRF route target/route distinguisher mappings.
- DMVPN: Phase 1, 2, and 3 architectures, NHRP configuration, and IPsec crypto profile integration.
4. Infrastructure Security and Services
- Device Security: Control Plane Policing (CoPP), AAA configuration, and 802.1X network authentication.
- Network Services: Advanced DHCP, NAT/PAT, HSRP/VRRP, NTP, and NetFlow/IP SLA telemetry.
- Quality of Service (QoS): Classification, marking, shaping, policing, and queuing mechanisms on Cisco IOS-XE.
5. Automation and Programmability
- Data Formats & APIs: Mastering JSON, XML, and interacting with RESTCONF/NETCONF interfaces.
- Scripting & Tools: Python scripting for configuration, Jinja2 templating, and basic Ansible playbook execution for batch tasks.
Section 2: Lab Exam Format Preparation using a Simulated MOC Lab
Module 1: Design
- Scenario Analysis: Reviewing high-level designs, email threads, and business constraints without equipment access.
- Architecture Justification: Answering complex drop-down and multiple-choice design questions.
- Progress Tracking: Mastering the progressive storyline where answers cannot be changed once submitted.
Module 2: DOO Deploy, Operate and Optimize
- Hands-on Configuration: Deploying technology solutions from scratch based on a complex topology.
- Troubleshooting Workflows: Rapid diagnostic strategies to fix broken configurations efficiently.
- Network Optimization: Adjusting live settings for peak security, speed, and path efficiency.
